This blouse it taken from Burdastyle Magazine 10/2010 118A. My first ever attempt to make a blouse and I’m pretty happy with it. The first time I wore it somebody asked me where i bought it. Im planning on making a silk georgette version for winter!

Thanks for your answer, and I wouldn’t have guessed you were a novice, the work looks just perfect. Setting in sleeves is one of the hardest things for me too and I’ve been sewing for years. :-D

I agree it looks awesome, I would never had thought that you were a novice. I’ve just started sewing and this is a great piece that has inspired me… thanks.

This looks great! I’m actually planning to make this myself for fall. Were there any issues you had with the pattern? Was it true to size etc.?

Thanks! Size was pretty true it fits perfectly as the shoulders and its pretty generous further down. The hardest part for me was setting in the sleeves and making the gathering even around the topline but thats because Im a complete novice!

thank you! there were actually two versions with different length ties. i forgot to mention that the tie was supposed to be raw edge but i added a seam allowance to the pattern piece and turned the edges.
