Description

The Nazca Lines: archaeological evidence of an ancient south american culture. This hummingbird is one of the line designs in the desert around Nazca, peru. I have reverse appliqued it on a tie dye t-shirt with hand dyed jersey fabric. The shirt is also hand dyed by us at madebyhippes.com. I have been interested in reverse applique for a long time and I am very excited to see it around more lately, and to share my tie-dyed take on it with you.

I love this, for various reasons. Definitely want to try my hand at it.

p.s. That is the Nazca line for the Condor, not the Hummingbird.
