Sydney Again., A...
I’m so mega happy that my custom dress makers doll has translated into a perfect fitting muslin!!
Not only does it fit the doll perfectly but me too which is even better.
I used some fabric I knew I’ll never make clothes from to test my first effort at draping.
Usually when I make clothes the problem issues are:
Too much gaping fabric above my boobs where I don’t have cleavage, the waist is always too high and the shoulders too slopey.
Also with the skirt, little triangluar darts don’t suit my shape, I’ve put in curved darts that go lower, now my thighs which protrude past my tummy aren’t stretching the fabric out.
WHen I did the draping it worked out lots better to have armscye darts going to the boobs rather than side darts.
I can’t wait to actually use my block now for making real clothes. It should be 5 times faster . YIPEEEEEEE
