I was inspired by Burda’s 05-2012 issue’s cover image and decided to make the top and the gathered three tiers skirt with a polyester satin print which I had for a year. I made the skirt using my own cutting layout with no fabric wastage and included a silk habotai lining to reduce see through as well. This is probably the longest hem I had every done (all 6m of it). You can see the making of the skirt and the cutting layout on my blog:
Polyester satin, silk habotai lining, silk finish cotton threads, non-roll elastic as waistband
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
