BWOF 10/2004, #114 pattern.
I wanted to sew a dress, but ended up hating it – it didn’t look well on me. However, I loved the top part so I cut off the skirt part and got a lovely blouse.
The pattern is basically the same as for my Gold blouse. I didn’t cut the fabric on bias, as the pattern instructions suggested (maybe that’s the reason my dress didn’t turn out well), and I didn’t make long slits on sleeves. The rest of the blouse was altered the same way as my Gold blouse.

I love the dress/top idea…do you know where I could purchase this pattern?

It looks even more interesting than the dress! I really like it. And the gold blouse is just amazing!

It’s really nice as a blouse, I love raglan sleeves and the pattern, I wish I could do the alterations you’ve made to make it smaller around the waist line. Very nice!

It is biased. I used satin bias band to finish both the sleeve slits and the front slit. Also, the band is attached to the sleeves’ hems and to the neckline.

Is the hem biased or overlocked? The blouse is beautiful!
