I took an old tea length linen Banana Republic skirt and a tank I picked up on sale at Urban Outfitters and turned it into a dress. The skirt was absolutely hideous before. Seriously. But I loved the fabric so much! So, I hacked the skirt in two, and turned the upper portion into a cool high waistband with little peaks. I just attached the waistband to the skirt portion, and then the top to the skirt and now I have an amazing new dress for summer. I love how the skirt portion turned out!

I used an invisible zipper on the side.

Wow that’s amazing! I’m only 13 but I wish I could do something like that! Can’t wait to see the next dress you make!

Thank you. All you really have to do is find some old clothes and grab your scissors/safety pins! <3

I love the top detail of your skirt. The two together look really great together, too. Nice work!

Sadly, I accidentally deleted it on my camera! The comparison would be really interesting.
