This was possibly the easiest thing I’ve ever sewn! It’s made from Ikea upholstery fabric, so thick it gives it a lovely full shape. More details and pics on my blog :)

I love the colors and the geometric print. This is such a simple and yet fun and funky skirt. I think I’ll be making something like this. How hard was it to work with upholstery fabric?

It was really easy. The only tricky part was when I tried gathering the waistline and the fabric was so thick that the thread snapped. But I just pleated it instead and it pressed really neatly.
