I loved working on this project! A fully boned thigh-high gaiter, which was basically corsets for ones legs!
It all began with the drafting of a pattern and to my clients choice of colours I dyed the laces within our chosen colour wheel.
There is an opening on the outer side of the gaiter where a zipper is positioned for easy removal and wear! The zipper is then covered and kept hidden by black elastic loops for the gold buttons on the sides. For adjustment of size and to alter the gaiters to be worn with various shoes or even over pants I have the center-back contains gold eyelets and lacing.
To allow for the curve around the leg, and for the delicate laces.- all the trims were hand-stitched. They contain a nice finished linning!
I hope my client enjoys them, they certainly are one-of- a-kind!!
Most if not all the trim were dyed by yours truly!
