I had been waiting a while to get around to this one, and it was a simple and rewarding pattern. I got it done in a day, so even though there are details its super easy to follow and execute.
Favourite: The princess line bodice and ruffles are very sweet, add detail that makes it that little bit nicer, and give a lot of room for fine-tuning the shape for the perfect fit.
Tips: I feel like this dress is all about the neck-line, so put the time into the interface binding and getting it straight. I would have preferred it to be a bit longer to get the most out of this amazing skirt, so if I did it again I’de be a bit more generous on the length.
Alterations: Im pretty bottom-heavy so I took the pockets out as they made my hips look wider. I kept the zigzag on the ruffle exposed and put a couple of extra runs of stitches on the inner panel for added detail.
