I made this dress with Rooibos from Colette Patterns. I like the shape of the dress and the little details – the neckline and pockets – very much. I choose a bright red corduroy, which reminds me of the clothers of “Jess” from “New Girl” a bit. For the lining I used a brown-red cotton with little white hearts – the same fabric I used for this blouse. The dress is very funny and comfortable to wear. With heels it has enough festive glamour for christmas holidays. Next time I would underline the skirt, too. A little to less body in the skirt now, I think. But I like the dress very much.

I’ve always liked the Rooibos dress…now I like it even better in a heavier weight fabric. I does have a “Jess” feel. Very cool.

Great dress! Love the details… the buttons, hem tape and the sweet contrast fabric.
