Sorry (with my fingers crossed behind my back!) for the super-corniness of the creation name. I was sent this amazing Obama and Africa emblazoned fabric from Nairobi as a gift from two of my favouritest people in the whole world, and it was begging to be turned into a good-times Summer dress. Sigh.. Summer, where for art thou Summer? I modified the Anda pattern by using MALdrich’s brilliant how-to, and adding some elastic into the shoulder to make it less swampifying of my puny shoulders.
Lovely Kenyan Obama/Africa printed cotton (FYI; just found out that ‘Hongera’ means ‘excellent’), stripy bias-binding, red satin ribbon to tie up at back.
Burdastyle of course, MALdrich’s how-to.
