My first modern commission dress! It’s a knock-off of ModCloth’s ’Wing It On" Dress. I used Simplicity 2588 as the base, but heavily altered it in order to get the open back (which involved making a waistband for the dress) and made a gathered rather than pleated skirt. The fabric is cotton poplin and was specially printed by the client via Spoonflower. The back is really neat! And I love the fabric too.. I’m trying to find a bird printed fabric myself!

Thanks! And for some reason, cure bird fabric is really hard to find.
