Thanks for all the lovely compliments! -
FYI: Mrs. Stylebook doesn’t provide any instructions for sewing, and the two pictures for drafting this dress were pretty little information. I didn’t include in the description that I altered the width, adjusted the backside, the darts, the sleeves and finally added a zipper in the back. Lots of work you won’t see when looking at the magazine. A basic knowledge of patterndrafting/patternmaking is more than helpful, without it I’d be lost in space. It’s not the average japanese craft book where you get nice pictures with every step – you’ll have to fiddle your way through on your own. If you are searching the mag I’d suggest to look at a kinokuya bookstore/japanese bookstore or at ebay. Good luck!

Waw! such a beautiful dress, love the inverted darts or tucks! Where do I find that Mrs. Stylebook magazine, does it come with step by step instructions?

It fits really well, and I love the inventive use of tucks, pleats and darts. Certainly not the average self-made pattern. I think it’s great!
