Description
We made two wedding gowns to promote our new website dedicated to weddings (coming soon!), and a prom frock that would double nicely as a bridesmaid gown.
Photographs were taken by the talented John Phipp.
The shoot took place at the National Trust property, Scotney Castle.
MY partner Su drafted the bodice and sleeves of the satin gown, and I drafted the skirt. Su did the bodice and main skirt construction and finishing. We shared the pleating! That skirt is BIG and HEAVY!
I drafted and constructed the bodice and skirt of the corset gown, with boning help from Su.
We both worked on all aspects of the lilac gown.
Material Notes
The materials used for the gowns ranged from silk faced Duchess satin to coutil and steel boning! We also included, tulle, taffeta twill silk, embroidered silk dupion and stretch lace!

The satin dress is amazing! The first picture makes me very curious about the front of this dress. I love the neckline, but am wondering if the front isn’t just a little too high.

Thank you. More a case of separating out the weddings stuff from the historical to give it more notice!
