Tropical, permanent-summer weather = no need for coats
Northern hemisphere winter = coats, coats, coats everywhere!
I want I want :( :( augh….what to do?
Improvise, that’s what :)
I tried sewing up this coat pattern in summer-weight fabric – by far the most complicated garment I’ve tried! I intended for this brown broadcloth to be my muslin, but a heck of a lot of mistakes and pain later, decided that THIS WOULD BE IT.
Added rickrack, top-stitching, and voila! New top.
As usual it’s not perfect, but oh well. I do like the back!
More details on my blog.
