I started out designing a wedding gown…..not the clasic one, and in such a lovely pink-peach color, and hand embroidered in satin finish sequences in 6 different colors and 5 sizes. Allways thought that it will look much nicer if I work the top chiffon layer separetely of the lining because the effect on the seam under the bust, was going to be lighter, and it will make the embroidery part, a bit easier. Of course….the lining was made in 4 ply silk charmeusse and had to be lovely also!!! but what I did not count with, was the fact that the lining fitting and the whole effect was so nice….that I though it was a pity not to make the most of it, so with a little left over of the chiffon, I made 2 gather straps that you can add to the lining very easily with flat buttons, and made a “tea” rose that was finish with a bit of green color and soft feathers dyed in strong te. This is the result, and I am very happy with it.
Silk chiffon and 4 ply silk charmeusse. 100% natural.
