Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I drafted the pattern of the dress and the bib section. I used the sleeves from a pattern in my stash: Simplicity 3511. My daughter hated this dress. So we traded it for one of her cousin’s dresses.It sure could have used some piping around the bib. And the waist was a little too wide and tent-like for my petite six year-old. I ended up putting a black elastic headband around the waist the two times I talked my daughter into wearing the dress.

I love the bib and fabric, such a shame your daughter didn’t like it! I’m making lots of dresses for my daughter before she is old enough to share her opinion with me!!

I would really love this as a tunic for an adult (aka myself, lol). I can sort of understand why a little girl does not find it appealing, even so us grown ups think it looks really cool, IYKWIM.
