I love this! I love the shape (could live without the balloon-hem, but that’s easy to change), I love the fit, the details (all of them), and the colour is just beautiful. Ten points!

WOW WOW WOW, absolutely gorgeous! Greatest pattern this year I think. I will have to learn a bit more sewing skills before I can make this one, but it will defenitely be a goal! Thanks Burdastyle!

This is gorgeous! I think I’ll tackle it over the winter and make a spring coat.

Nice coat - Great fresh design! I love the pleating. The coat looks so light I can imagine someone translating this into a dress. So beautiful!

This is so incredibly gorgeous! If only i hadn’t just finished a trench coat yesterday! I totally would have made this! Someday… What a fantastic pattern BS team- you really hit it out of the ballpark with this! AND I totally love the color and the adorable lining.

Great! This one’s a hit, I really love the overall aspect and in particular the pleat in the back. Not too keen on the puffiness of the bottom but what a versatile pattern! Thanks!

Very nice, too bad you overlooked the size limitations. Why not just say right out that BS has no intention of posting any plus-size patterns in the future? Promises and nice words don’t mean a thing when there is no action. Nehmah

      Good point well made Nehmah!

I love this trench – looks perfect for my pear shaped figure and just my style and I have some amazing fabric that this would look brill in!

However as I ain’t skinny, but am plus sized I don’t get to make or wear it! :-(

Nehmah, I’m plus-sized too, and I too would love it if BurdaStyle made all of their patterns in all sizes, but I think it is a wonderful opportunity to work on my pattern drafting skills. My body crosses something like 8-10 sizes, so no one size will fit me perfectly. Instead of waiting for BS, how about giving resizing a whirl? There are some helpful resources in the Learning section, like Enlarge a Basic BurdaStyle Pattern and Full Bust Adjustment for Princess Seams. I would love to see, and compare, any projects/patterns that you experiment with.

      BTW, this coat is gorgeous!

I agree completely, so many promises for many, many months and a few token efforts in between… Always I see the excuse that ‘plus patterns need to have blah blah and blah blah’ and that plus sized women need ‘blah blah’ to make the style suit them. Maybe so, but does that mean we should be completely deprived? And I manage to do straight grade ups without ’blah blah and blah blah ’ and they look great.

I’m not adverse to grading a pattern and usually I do buy the smaller one to grade up the 2 sizes I usually need, but I shouldn’t really have to when I’ve purchased it and I’m more than a little tired of it, so I’m giving this one a miss, as gorgeous as it is.

      *Sigh. Rant over :)

I think the style would not suit me, but the trench looks great on your model! Love the shoes :).
