Astoria, New Yor...
This is Butterick B5211 (view B, sans self-belt). This was my first sewn item of clothing since I was a child! I didn’t do a perfect job by any means, but it was a great learning experience for me and I can’t wait to start a new project! Lesson #1: fabric choice! I didn’t realize that this loose tunic would look so awful in chambray— it really looks like it’s a standard-issued uniform for a women’s prison or mental institution! It would probably be much cuter in a cool print— maybe I’ll have to make another one!
Blogged about it here, if you’re interested.
