2 squares of silk were used as the body of the dress and sized down to fit me. I originally planned to make this a short dress, but the fabric just screamed to me that it wanted to be LONG; I used the excess fabric to make the gathered ruffle on the bottom and drafted the flutter sleeves and attached them with elastic straps.
The fabric is amazing (a wonderful gift from a friend) and the dress is so comfortable. It makes me wish that summer were starting all over again!
Silk, elastic thread, and elastic straps.
Thanks to Neal for meeting me on my lunch break!
