When I saw this beautiful brocade at Jo-Ann’s, I knew I had to make a dress with it. The Coffee Date Dress is one of my favorite BurdaStyle patterns and was perfect for showcasing this gorgeous fabric. Since I have made the Coffee Date Dress before, I decided to make some slight changes. I added extra panels to the skirt to make the skirt fuller in back. I skipped the flounce and added a band around the middle to give the dress a high-waisted look.
I wanted the dress to look as beautiful on the inside as it did on the outside. I fully lined the bodice using the same fabric and used french seams on the skirt for a touch of couture.
The finished dress looks perfect for a garden tea party!
