I knew I loved the Susan yoke as soon as I saw it. Didn’t dig the unfitted waistline, though. So after altering the pattern and making a blouse in subtle green chiffon, i knew there had to be a dress!
I had bought so much fabric on my last shopping spree and this project was a good way to “burn” some of it :D
The chiffon is pretty sheer, so I still have to make/organize a slip for underneath, but I don’t have matching jersey and I don’t really want to go fabric shopping AGAIN still have about 60-80% from said shopping spree, argh!
I think it looks pretty flapper-esque when I wear the sash on my hip :D After the Boheme Sauvage Soiree, I’m all <3 for 20ies-40ies clothing :D
The instructions are now up, so you can make your own dress, too!
navy satin and chiffon, cotton interlining for the yoke, vintage fabric for the yoke lining

Wow, that looks gorgeous! When I saw the picture of you in it, I thought it looked very 1920s too, which is an era that I love! Totally inspired by this, and look forward to reading about the changes you made.

Love it! It does look kind of flapper-era. I’m also in love with the room you took the pictures in – beautiful!

I think I’ll write them up now, but I don’t have pictures, hope that won’t be a problem.
