This suit was made for my nephew’s wedding. Two and a half days of Faster-Than-Light sewing! The skirt is a Butterick pattern from 1978, and the jacket another Butterick one, this time from about five years ago.
I did most of the construction for this one. Su made the rouleau loops and leveled the hem, as well as helping to cut out.
The fabric was from Huddersfield Cloth, and is a wool, linen and cotton mix. It has a polyester taffeta lining.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
