This is a bag that I studded AGES ago, I just kept forgetting to photograph it!
I loved the Alexander Wang Rocco bag but it was waaaaay out of my meagre price range so I thought I would make my own ‘tribute’ Mr Wang instead.
It was a really old unlined sample that I was given from work (I work in the accessories dept) and it sat in my cupboard for about 5 years gathering dust until I bought a bus-load of studs and went crazy on the base with them, and I have been using it every day since!
The studding was very easy, I used a special thick leather needle to punch holes in the base first and applied the studs that way, I then bent the prongs on the inside with some pliers (argh – painful business) and then made an insert for the base to cover the stud backs and it was done!
old leather bag, conical studs, pliers
