Patrick Wolf, one of my favourite musicians of all time, announced a show at the Sydney Opera House. So of course I needed a fabulous new dress to wear! After much scouring of fabric stores looking for the right fabric, I found this wonderful space fabric in Spotlight and had to have it!
The name suggested itself – one of my favourite Patrick Wolf songs is called The Stars, and this dress is covered in them!
The pattern is Simplicity 2180 – a new one for me. I’m quite happy with it, though the waist seems to sit in an odd spot on me, which crushes the waistband. But that’s easily fixed next time! I’d also like to try the variation with sleeves, they’re great.
Photos are by pambox, as (almost) always! The lighting was bad, and I’ve fixed it as much as my very limited Photoshop abilities allow, but they may still be a tad blurry. The fabric close up is the best representation of the colour, because it was taken in sunlight this afternoon.
