Description

I have a bad habit of making things out of season – I knit hats and scarves in the summer and now I’m making a knit romper when New York’s winter has no signs of leaving anytime soon. Oh well.

The pattern was ridiculously easy. Honestly, the most difficult step is finding enough space to lay out the fabric to cut it. Otherwise, I had no problems. I chose a dark blue knit that has a slight gold shimmer with a four-way stretch like the pattern recommends. It is so comfortable! I spent a lot of time fiddling with different ways to tie it for the photoshoot and I’m sure I’ll find more ways when it gets warm enough to actually wear out.

Precisely! And the shorts are much more modest outside than a summer dress.

Great dress! Don’t worry: the sun will come back to NYC soon so you can wear your cute little dress!

I love it, great variety in styles too. I actually think you are doing the right thing, ready for the new season. I tend to wait until it IS the season then I rush to finish a few things… Now I’m trying to do the opposite – like the retail industry :)) especially that we really have only 2 seasons here, Summer and Fall – haha

Haha. So true. It’s definitely better to have things in my wardrobe ahead of time.
