I used leftover fabric from my Rear View Pants to make a Marie! I love the Marie pattern, it makes me look like a tulip but I like that effect and it’s so easy and fabric efficient.
The instructions are fairly useless but I just put it together intuitively and it’s so simple that that’s easy enough to do. I didn’t use a facing on the hem because that baffled me, so I just did a simple thin machine hem, and this fabric eats up stitches so it looks almost invisible.I wore it to a play reading at my company and someone had thoughtfully graffited our wall. How kind. It’s all clean now, but immortalized in these photos. I realize I sort of match the graffiti, which is…odd.

Your marie came out great! Reminds me that I plan to make one, too, since a while. Also, I like your fabric choice, and your combination with the red shirt!

Ok, i admit I clicked on this because I recognozed that graffiti – I live in S Philly too! But I do like the skirt. In fact I bought mustard yellow tights to wear with a grey skirt – but i don’t have one! This pattern is a possibility. Good job!
