This dress was way too fun to make. It is constructed out of old and new fabric. The sweetheart bodice is made out of light blue cotton and has white piping at the princess seam. It is adorned with white cotton flowers and includes boning. The skirt is constructed out of ivory cotton organdy and holds its shape without a petticoat. The organdy skirt is gathered at different points and it a bit higher in the front. This dress has a corset back and ivory ribbon. It is fully lined with white cotton. The back features scalloped edges. This dress has side organdy sashes that start at the front princess seam and can be tied either in the center back or on the side of the dress.

I was looking through the projects and had to stop, it has such character and it’s very pretty. I love it.. reminds me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast but like a couture version : ]

Hi, The dress is fantastically neatly finished! Really lovely! What make of tool did you use to insert the eyelets? I think I will buy one as mine is rubbish. Very lovely.

I started using the Dritz but ended up finishing most with a hammer :)
