I made this skirt out of a grey fabric with black flowers. I added a black underskirt, longer than the skirt itself.
The skirt has 6 big gussets and 6 small triangular gussets, to add volume. I based the pattern on another skirt I have.
The underskirt is a simple circle skirt.
There was a lot of work to draw the pattern and sew together all the pieces but I’m really happy with the result. There is only one little problem: the skirt turned out to be too small for me. My big thighs struck again! With a little help from my poor pattern drawing skills…
Finally, it’s not bad for everyone: it perfectly fits a colleague’s wife.
