A rectangle of fabric, gathered and sewn into a grosgrain ribbon waistband. Too easy!

a-ha! Yes, the gathered part of the taffeta is hidden between two grosgrain ribbons – You simply topstitch all around the ribbon to encase it all. Makes the waistband super-sturdy and hides all the nasty stuff! Yup… that little singlet with the lace is my go-to top at the moment!
