My very first dress. Several years ago now… ’06 I think?
A very short skirt swoops up in the front, only to be covered by a gathered panel. Intended to highlight one’s stems.
A great shape for summer, but I honestly wear it more frequently in the fall due to its color. Tights and leggings work beautifully with it.
The fabric was salvaged from a giant, thrifted, rayon muumuu. Basically I made the smallest dress ever, from the biggest dress ever, though oddly, even the tiny pleated panel took quite a bit of fabric to make. Zips down the back, has multiple darts for fit around bust. Ric rac trim.
