It’s a super simple pattern – McCall’s4059, that I bought on Etsy just because it was 2$. Only when I recieved the envelope, I realised that the pattern is just one size and it’s a bit small, so I added an inch in width and that’s the only adjustment I made.
The patterns is originally ment for knits and stretchy fabric, but i used this cotton fabric I got from my grandmothers stash. The funny thing is, that this fabric looked really ugly when folded and I used it because it was the only undedicated fabric peace big enough to squeeze this pattern on. I wanted to add a side zipper as the fabric is not stretchy, but then realised, that i can pull it over my head almost with no effort. Score! And it’s not even cut on bias. :)
I love the dress very much, especially the big collar. My grandma calls it the ‘schoolmasters dress’.
P.S. Bad hair day. Just don’t mind them. ;)
white embroidered cotton, dark ugly looking cotton from grandma.
