Description

August turned my backyard into the Savannah. My brother’s cats suddenly think they are called Simba and Nala and that they have to hunt every pheasant that traverses their kingdom.

I tried to blend in as much as possible with this safari-top, and I sincerely hope that King Simba will not eat me…

The pattern is from Knipmode 05/2011, Zomers Tricot special, Top 101. The fabric is something I found on a fabric fair last year.
I made it more than a year ago, and I wore it a lot, so unfortunately it’s already a bit deformed. But then again, it adds to the casual I’m-sneaking-through-the-grass-trying-very-hard-not-to-be-eaten-by-King-Simba-look, no?

    I can see why you have worn this top alot!!! its lovely. I have been looking for a pattern for a top like this for ages now can you tell me where I can get the pattern please?

      It’s a pattern from a dutch sewing magazine called Knipmode. It’s very easy, and it can also be easily lengthened to a dress.
