This is my third version of Simplicity 2215, a Cynthia Rowley shirtdress, made up (once again!) with Liberty Tana Lawn. This is, also, my favorite version yet. Mostly that’s due to the fabric, Liberty’s Carline print, which has been waiting in my stash for the perfect dress pattern. I added self-drafted cap sleeves, which I adore, and fully lined the whole dress in sapphire blue poplin. With its similarly sapphire covered buttons and lovely blue roses, this dress is quite ready for spring!
More pictures and details can be found at my blog, Idle Fancy.

Thank you so much, ErinLynn! I am still thrilled that the cap sleeves worked out so well – the dress just looks more polished with sleeves. It’s always a relief when pattern fiddling turns out the way you want!
