This is an old project, made for a school play at the last minute. A Roman Solider Tunic. Both me and R found it fun to make, bascially I drew round him on paper and took rough measurements, as he was incapable of staying still. It is made out of brown leatherette, and required very little sewing, just the shoulders and elastic at the hips. It is embelished with old brass buttons, and a rope belt and underneath though not easy to see is a red skirt. The photo isn’t great as it was a very cold morning, hence the added extra of jogging bottoms and hoodie. He loved is Roman tunic so much that he wore it at home for a years.
Brown leatherette, 2 brass buttons, elastic, and red cotton
