Wellington, New ...
A project for my school’s production of “The Roaring Girl” (http://www.toiwhakaari.ac.nz/the-roaring-girl/) in which we were given two costumes to construct. I was given Mistress Gallipot and Neatfoot. Unfortunately I don’t really do the costumes justice – I will be adding photos of them being worn by their rightful actors as soon as I get my hands on them. :) (Hopefully I’ll also get pictures of all the underlayers also).
Neatfoot consists of –
padded pumpkin-bum breeches with button up fly and cords to tie to the doublet
padded doublet with domes, buttons, the eyelets through which the cords are threaded, a collar-stand and fake shirt sleeves handsewn in
and a handmade ruff
quilting, drill, corduroy, cotton blends, poly blends, the airconditioning stuff for the ruff..
