Wellington, New ...
A project for my school’s production of “The Roaring Girl” (http://www.toiwhakaari.ac.nz/the-roaring-girl/) in which we were given two costumes to construct. I was given Mistress Gallipot and Neatfoot. Unfortunately I don’t really do the costumes justice – I will be adding photos of them being worn by their rightful actors as soon as I get my hands on them. :) (Hopefully I’ll also get pictures of all the underlayers also).
Mistress Gallipot consists of –
a button down dress with a collar stand
a wrap around apron with bound edges and pockets
and a handmade ruff which attaches to the collar.
quilting, stuffing, calico, cotton blends, lace, buttons, some kind of air-conditioning-fan-heavy-material for the ruff?
