I made this from a retro Simplicity Pattern. And it’s PINK!!! I haven’t worn pink since childhood I think. But maybe I should go for more pink in the future :)

Ooooooooh, that is GORGEOUS! I really like this dress, and so beautifully made too! Which pattern was this? I shall make it my mission to hunt it down and make one, I want one want one want one want one!!!
Just a question – did the pattern call for it to be fully lined or did you add the cream lining yourself? I’ve just make a dress from a vintage pattern which didn’t so I added it myself because I prefer my dresses like that.
Wonderful work!

It’s a vintage re-issue pattern, so it has modern sizing and instructions for the bodice lining. It suggests you use lining material for the bodice but I just used the same material because the bodice lining is also the facing of the neckline and I didn’t want my lining material to show at the neckline. But there are no instructions for a skirt lining. I just made one because I also thought the dress would be nicer if fully lined. It’s a good pattern but needs some fitting alterations. You can check out more details of what I had to change on my (very, very new :) blog where I also posted a link to my review of the dress on patternreview.com. Good luck with your sewing! I’d love to see your version!
