Description

I took a basic line image of good ole R2-D2, made it into a pattern and then embroidered it using a basic backstitch onto a cushion I made.

I made this for a friends birthday (she’s quite a Star Wars fan). I’ m planning a Chewbacca cushion too, as soon as I can work out how to combine embroidery and a furry brown textile (because he’s a fuzzy tactile guy, right?!).

Material Notes

Red linen, black silk embroidery thread, cushion

Wow, that’s such a good idea. I’m making a Star Wars quilt right now, and sw print fabric is impossible to find. I wish I’d thought of something like that. It looks great, too.
