The reason that this dress is called " The Perfect Lazy Dress " because it is very easy to make. This elastic gather dress can also be worn as a maxi-skirt. Perfect summer look. <3
Instruction
- Measure your waist = A
- Cut elastic with "A " measurement ( The width of elastic is up to you, I used 1/2inch in this project )
- Double or Triple your waist measurement and that will be the yardage you will need for your fabric. The length is up to you.
- The belt is just a sheer black chiffon rectangle that is overlocked all around the edges.

For this one, It is exactly the same.
I sew the elastic on the edge of the fabric, stitch in the center or close to the edge of the elastic and flip it over. because it is chiffon and I didn’t want any seam to show. I think you can also stitch 1" across at the top to make the elastic case. I left an open at the back seam to put the elastic through and hand stitch it when finished. But you will see the elastic case.
