Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I started working on this coat in late November- earlier December 2011. I hoped to wear it for the New Year’s celebration. Unfortunately, I got the flu when the coat was almost ready and I only had to sew on buttons. So New Year was celebrated on the couch in front of a TV with lots of Chinese food. A couple of days letter I got better and finished my project.
So here it is… I used Simplicity “Project Runway” Pattern Number 2057. The fabric is Italian wool I scored online, buttons and lining are from Jo Ann’s, velvet ribbon for piping is from eBay.
Material Notes
2,5 yards of wool coating, lining, interfacing, velvet ribbon, buttons, shoulder pads, a little bit of polyester fleece for sleeve headings.

hi, its very chic and beautiful! can I ask for some help here? I have problems when sewing in the sleeves. no matter what I do, they get gathered in some places at the top of the sleeve. I believe burda patterns for sleeves are very much larger than the arm hole. at least for me!! please some body help!! thank you
