Buffalo, New Yor...
My fiance was complaining about not having enough pairs of shorts for this East Coast heat, which seemed to coincide with my guilt about not really making things for him. So from that, these shorts were born. I realize now that you can’t actually tell that these are indeed short-length in any of these photos, so you’ll just have to trust me.
This was my third foray into the world of menswear after my (pretty successful) mens vest and an undocumented (slightly less successful) oxford shirt.
I pretty much followed the directions to a T, apart from the waist band/closure. The fly-front situation was a little sketchy, so I sought outside help. It turned out decently. Overall, I am pretty pleased with myself. And they “fit like a glove” – his words, not mine.
Good pattern, will definitely try again.
