My lovely college roommate Lydia gifted me with this Kanga which she brought back from her summer internship in Africa. I knew that I wanted to make a skirt out of it and thought that Simplicity 2512 would showcase the pattern well. Overall I think it turned out well and I really love the shape of the skirt. I’m not thrilled with the fit of the waistband but the rest of it fits fine and went together fairly smoothly.
It’s a very stiff material but as far as content goes I know nothing. It’s a rectangle with the short sides angled, and the blue pattern running around the edges. I wish I would have taken a picture before I started cutting :(
Dress up outerwear with deep shawl collars and sew up a lovely fitted dress with a flounced hemline.
