Description

This is a top that was supposed to be JJ’s leg of mutton top, but the fabric split at the elbow when I put it on!!! Must be all that spinach. So I took half the arms off and it inspired me to play around with the pattern some more, see my “button me up”.

I comisserate. So many shirts have far too tight sleeves. I was a swimmer and now do triathlons and so many things fit me in the torso but not the arms! I very much like the short version. the posts of this top have convinced me I must make it myself. short sleeved- and loose-sleeved of course! The fit you have sewn is very flattering. Excellent work!

I like it. Too bad you had problems with the sleeves!

Ooo, I really like the structure of the shirt and I think I may even like the short sleeves better!

I’m still giggling over your spinach comment, but let me see if I can type anyway:) The shirt looks so cute on you, and you did a beautiful job on the gathering and pleats. That was a “good save” on shortening the sleeves. And I did look at your “button me up” shirt! Cool!
