Description

The Lola Dress was created utilizing a vintage pattern intended for a Gunne Sax dress. I modified the pattern a bit: shortened the length of the skirt & sleeves, used a patterned fabric at the skirt sides & sash, and added the patterned-fabric detailing to the sleeves. These changes shifted this little number from a Victorian style dress to something that makes me think of the 40’s and 50’s with a touch of the Rock-A-Billy look =)

When I saw this dress I literally said “Oh my gosh!” out loud! I am just in love with the design! The color mixed with the print – really fantastic. I saved this in my inspiration folder on my computer. Such a cool styled dress!

Thanks soooo much for the kind words! I appreciate it oodles=) I plan to make this dress in a couple more colors too: it’s a crazy fun project and comes together pretty quick.
