Description

Made this dress from a vintage McCall’s pattern, changing the darts to princess seams and greatly lowering the neckline. Added a gathered skirt.

The finished dress has been begging me to wear it out, and have a go outside the closet. I never had the occasion to wear it, because I thought it was too formal. But on Sunday, I decided to go with it. I loved wearing it out for the first time.

Material Notes

polyester chiffon bought at the thrift store; mystery gray fabric as underlining
