Made from a vintage Vogue pattern from 1935, re-released as Vogue v2859.
The pattern was for a floor-length evening gown. I made it less formal by widening the straps, cutting off about 1/3rd of the skirt length, and making it in a cotton drill.
Blogged about over here: http://macskakat.wordpress.com/2011/07/17/the-librarians-nightmare-dress/
Cotton drill. Closes with a placket of 6 snap fasteners and two hooks and eyes at the side.

Thanks! I’m a big fan of the vintage Vogue patterns – I’m building up quite a collection of them at the moment. :-)
