This was my first pair of pants. Finishing them I had this amazing moment of “Oh my god, these do really look like real pants and I made them myself!”
The pattern is Simplicity 3850 from the “Built by Wendy Guide to Making your own wardrobe”.
The pants were a part of my application for a design university. The topic was “Mastab” (could be translated as “scale” or “standard”). I actually re-sew the entire outfit of a lego duplo minifigure in my size and named it “the DUPLO for H&M collection”. Unfortunately I don’t have a photo of me wearing the entire outfit but you can kinda see the longsleeve and the scarve I made in the last picture.
The whole thing turned out not to be the best idea – my application failed badly and the university didn’t even invite me for a follow-up interview. Never mind – not only am I studying design at another university now BUT I have a gorgeous pair of yellow pants to wear.
