This is another dress from McCall’s 4769. This time, I added bellows pockets from a skirt pattern in Burda 8/2011. The pockets are large enough to carry 4X5 film holders for my Graflex Crown Graphic, so I plan to add them to many projects in the future.
The fabric is cotton from B&J Silks in New York. It is a stylized map. I embroidered a little message on the under collar, and added contrasting topstitching.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
