Description

This skirt was made using Vogue 1324, a Donna Karan pattern. I love the unusual seamlines of the skirt! I used black leather for the front panel, and the side and back panels are cut from a black double knit, which makes the skirt super comfortable to wear.

Material Notes

Leather, black double knit

you did SUCH a good job on this!! Great idea to mix fabrics for comfort and movability. I am really wanting to sew leather…was it hard? Perhaps you’re a pro…

Thanks cur-jargon! Sewing leather is not hard…just get yourself some leather needles, a walking foot and some tissue paper (to prevent the leather from sticking to the machine). It’s actually a lot easier to sew leather than it is to sew flimsy fabrics like chiffon.
